It’s a peaceful easy feeling: Eagles settle lawsuit over New York man’s concert footage

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. – Don Henley and Glen Frey of the Eagles have settled a federal lawsuit against a New York man they accused of peddling bootleg recordings of their concerts.

The Daily News (http://nydn.us/1OkeKnJ ) reports that the pair’s lawsuit against Bill Shelley has been settled with a permanent injunction barring him from showing any recordings of the group.

Henley and Frey sent a cease-and-desist letter when they learned the Avon Theater in Connecticut was advertising an October 2014 show called “Legends of Rock Live: The Eagles: 1976 Tour” with concert footage from Shelley’s film vault.

Shelley’s lawyer tells the Daily News that Shelley cancelled the show and the band members sued him anyway.

But both sides apparently decided to take it easy and settle the lawsuit. Monetary terms were not disclosed.
