Big names performing to save Penticton’s Dream Cafe

PENTICTON – Some dreams never die and supporters of Penticton’s Dream Cafe hope that will be the case for the unique restaurant.

The cafe had to close due to financial reasons earlier this month and musicians have reached out from all over North America to offer support, according to the Dream Cafe website.

Tom Wilson (aka Lee Harvey Osmond), his son Thompson Wilson, Stephen Fearing and Matt Andersen will be performing in an effort to Save the Dream.

Tom and Thompson Wilson, and Stephen Fearing will perform Sunday, Oct. 23 and Monday, Oct. 24. Matt Anderson will perform four shows in a row from Monday, Oct. 31 to Thursday, Nov. 3.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. each night.

Tickets are $100 for each fundraising performance.

I have been looking for news in the South Okanagan - SImilkameen for 20 years, having turned a part time lifelong interest into a full time profession. After five years publishing a local newsletter, several years working as a correspondent / stringer for several local newspapers and seven years as editor of a Similkameen weekly newspaper, I joined iNFOnews.ca in 2014. As a member of the Kaleden community, I have been involved in the Kaleden Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years, and also serve as a trustee on the Kaleden Irrigation District board.
I am currently married to my wife Judy, of 26 years. We are empty-nesters who enjoy living in Kaleden with our Welsh Terrier, Angus, and cat, Tibbs.
Our two daughters, Meagan and Hayley, reside in Richmond and Victoria, respectively.
