VERNON – The 2016/2017 Board of Directors for Vernon Winter Carnival held their monthly meeting on Oct. 11, 2016. The board announced that 64 events have registered for the 2017 “Carnival Celebrates Canada’s 150th” event.

Vernon Winter Carnival also hosts about 10 to 15 events, including Family day in the park and toonie and a tin! New events are being submitted daily to the Winter Carnival office.

The Vernon Winter Carnival Board is still hopeful that the invitation sent to the Right Honorable Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is accepted.
