WolfPack blank Trinity Western in men’s soccer

KAMLOOPS – Make it three in a row. The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s soccer team have won three straight matches—all by shutouts.

On Saturday, Oct. 15, the WolfPack knocked off the first place team in the Canada West Pacific Division 2-0 at Hillside Stadium. The Spartans are also ranked fourth in the CIS top 10 rankings this week.

“It continues to show growth and the confidence in the players. How they are playing. It was a real professional effort out there today. We were playing against the fourth ranked team in Canada. The guys came out hard and played smart. That is what is what I really liked. They were organized.  Communication was excellent and the balance was outstanding,” TRU head coach John Antulov says.

“As soon as we got back from our road trip in Alberta, we knew every game counted. Points are really hard to come by in this division. We have been able to string together three wins now.  We have three games left and hopefully we can keep this momentum going. Everything is going well across the team,” TRU forward Ryan Glanville says.
