The Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan is about to welcome some alien invaders!
The EECO located in Mission Creek Regional Park (Springfield and Durnin Roads) will be closed Monday, October 24th through Thursday, October 27th as staff install the new ‘Alien Invaders – Nasty or Nice?’ exhibit.
Invasive and introduced species will be the focus of our new exhibit. Knapweed, Zebra Mussels and Grey Squirrel are some common invasive species in the Okanagan. Did you know that California Quail are an introduced species? Also find out what is the most common invasive species in the Okanagan, you might be surprised!
The Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
