Sutton Realtors and staff in Vernon are once again happily collecting for their “Sutton Warm & Fuzzy Shelter Collection.” Winter clothing and other items are needed by area shelters to ensure everyone who needs warmth will have it. Items may be dropped off weekdays between 9 and 5 beginning October 31st at the Sutton office at 2749 30th St. (Across from A & W) or even easier, you can take advantage of their drive-thru collection! Realtors will be on hand November 9th in the parking lot between 11:30 am and 1 pm to come right to your vehicle, take your collection and add it to the mountain of goods in the cube van.
Kim Hay, Sutton’s office manager, says “this is the 5th year we’ve been doing the shelter collection – all items go to be sorted at Howard House where Kelly Fehr and other local shelter managers go and gather what their clients need. We love helping the community and offering such a simple way for residents to help us give back to those in need. Thank you all for cleaning out your closets to share with those who may never know your name. No one should ever be cold in our communities.”
The following is a list of current needs in area shelters and we look forward to the community’s ongoing heartfelt cooperation:
Any questions please contact Kim at 250-549-3944. Thank you in advance for all your anticipated support!
