The City of Kelowna’s sports fields will close for winter maintenance on Sunday, Oct. 30. City crews will be inspecting sports fields including soccer and football fields and scheduling necessary seasonal repairs.
Baseball diamonds will be closed once the fall leagues wrap up in mid-November. Residents and sports teams are asked to respect the seasonal closures to help maintain quality turf for when the fields open again next spring.
Teams searching for a place to play can call 250-469-8504 for available options.
Residents are reminded that washrooms and water services at most parks have been closed since Oct. 16, and will re-open in the spring.
