
Bush fire puts Glenmore residents on boil water notice
KELOWNA – Residents in Glenmore are advised to boil their drinking water following this morning's brush fire.
The Glenmore Ellison Improvement District has issued a Boil Water Notice for customers in the vicinity of Scenic Road "due to the activities" of today's firefighting efforts.
Residents on the following roads will be affected:
Appaloosa, Arab, Augusta, Bonn, Brenda, Clydesdale, Curtis, Denali, Galiano, Golfview, Grandview, Granville, Hollywood Rd N., Longhill, Lougheed (west of railway tracks) Mail, Monford, Mustang, Neave, Newman, Packinghouse, Palmer, Pinto, Reyn, Reynolds, Ryder, Rifle, Rojem, Scenic, Sexsmith (both sides to Longhill Rd, north side only from Longhill Rd to railway tracks), Shetland, Silver, and Walker.
Customers on the east side of Snowsell Street between Henkel and Glenmore Road, and those on the East side of Valley Road (South of Union Road) and both sides of Valley Road (North of Union Road) were also alerted.
The district will notify residents when the water is safe for drinking.
