Kelowna thief steals meat, drops cell phone

KELOWNA – A man stole a number of meat products from a Kelowna grocery store last week, but lost something important while running away.

Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers says on Oct. 25 at approximately 8:50 p.m., a man stole a number of meat products from the Superstore on Baron Road.

The suspect ran from the scene and escaped. He lost his cell phone while fleeing and it is now being held by police.

The suspect was wearing a black "Crooks" baseball hat and a grey pullover style jacket.
