Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Down six cents, or 0.79 per cent, to $7.57 on 8.3 million shares.

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Down 15 cents, or 3.82 per cent, to $3.78 on 6.6 million shares.

McCoy Global Inc. (TSX:MCB). Oil and gas. Down 19 cents, or 7.98 per cent, to $2.19 on 5.1 million shares.

TORC Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSX:TOG). Oil and gas. Up 49 cents, or 11.11 per cent, to $4.90 on 4.8 million shares.

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Unchanged at $1.48 on 4.6 million shares.

Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Up 23 cents, or 6.05 per cent, to $4.03 on 4.6 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. Up 58 cents, or 1.68 per cent, to $35.13 on 3.1 million shares. Suncor Energy’s latest appeal to shareholders of Canadian Oil Sands (TSX:COS) (up 20 cents, or 2.49 per cent, to $8.22 on two million shares) attacked the leadership of the reluctant takeover target for having almost no skin in the game. Suncor CEO Steve Williams says COS directors and executives own less than 0.1 per cent of the company’s shares.
