The Kamloops Blazers defeated the Kelowna Rockets 5-1 at Prospera Place on Tuesday night ending the Rockets six game winning streak.
Kamloops led 2-1 after the first period, 3-1 after the second and added two more in the third in the win.
The Rockets lone goal was scored by Nick Merkley extending his goal streak to three games.
Michael Herringer stopped 33 of the 39 shots he faced in a losing effort.
Kelowna was outshot 39-21 on the night as they fell to 9-8-0-0 on the season.
The Rockets were 1-for-7 on the power play while the Blazers were 2-for-7.
The Rockets play again on Friday when they head to Vancouver for a matchup against the Giants.
The Rockets next home game following tonight will be Saturday, November 5th when they take on Medicine Hat at Prospera Place.
