Weekend byelection to elect Osoyoos school trustee
OSOYOOS – A byelection to replace a retiring school trustee in the Okanagan Similkameen School District takes place this weekend in Osoyoos.
Penny Duperron, Casey Brouwer and John Redenbach are all in the running for the vacant trustee position.
The byelection is being held to replace June Harrington who announced her retirement this past summer.
It's an interim position on the school board beginning in December and running until the B.C. municipal elections in October 2018.
The byelection will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5 in the Osoyoos Elementary School library, according to the district's website.
