Raptors say centre Jonas Valanciunas cleared to return to practice

TORONTO – Toronto Raptors centre Jonas Valanciunas has been cleared to return to practice, the NBA team announced Monday.

Valanciunas has missed 15 games with a broken left hand suffered during a Nov. 20 road game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Valanciunas has made 14 starts this season, averaging 12.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 27.3 minutes. He posted season highs of 21 points and 15 rebounds in the season opener Oct. 28 versus Indiana.

The Raptors also announced that forward Bruno Caboclo and guard Norman Powell have been assigned to Raptors 905 of the NBA Development League.
