KAMLOOPS – Charges have been laid following a police pursuit of a man reported to be carrying multiple guns last week.
RCMP conducted a manhunt after someone reported the suspect became distraught with his bank, returned home and left again in possession of firearms.
While a police spokesperson would not confirm the bank at which this happened, several TD banks across the city closed while police searched for the suspect. He was arrested at another family member’s residence.
James Allen Iwaskow, born 1978, is charged with assault with a weapon, possessing weapon for a dangerous purpose and pointing a firearm among other charges.
Iwaskow will appear in court on September 18. He is not in custody.
