Controlled burns taking place near Kalamalka Lake

VERNON – Vernon Fire Rescue Services (VFRS) crews are aware of controlled slash burns on the east side of Kalamalka Lake across from Kekuli Bay. The burns consist of between eight and 10 large piles for the purpose of land clearing, and are being privately conducted with a license from the Province.

The work is expected to be completed by Sunday.
