Tigers roll over Rockets 6-2

KELOWNA – The Medicine Hat Tigers defeated the Kelowna Rockets 6-2 at Prospera Place on Saturday night.

The first period was all Medicine Hat as Tomas Soustal scored the Rockets lone goal in the frame and Kelowna trailed 3-1 heading into the second frame.

The middle stanza saw the Rockets score the only goal as Kyle Topping finished off a 3-on-2 passing play as the Rockets trailed 3-2 going into the third period.

The Rockets had the momentum and were pushing hard but with 7:37 left in the matchup the Tigers put themselves up by two. Just 30 seconds later they scored another go up. They added one more three minutes after that to top the Rockets 6-2.

Michael Herringer fell to 9-6-0-0 on the season taking the loss after stopping 34 of 40 shots.

The Rockets record is now 10-9-0-0.

The Rockets next game will be Saturday, November 12th when they host the Prince Albert Raiders at Prospera Place.
