Maple Leafs reassign Antoine Bibeau, Rich Clune to American Hockey League

Goaltender Antoine Bibeau and forward Rich Clune were reassigned to the American Hockey League by the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.

Bibeau hasn’t appeared in any games for the Maple Leafs so far this season. In 13 appearances for the AHL Marlies, the 21-year-old is 9-3-0 with a .883 save percentage and 3.38 goals-against average.

Injuries to James Reimer and Garret Sparks left a void in Toronto’s NHL goaltending depth chart, which prompted Bibeau to be called up.

Clune is pointless in two games with the Maple Leafs this year. The Toronto native has 12 points in 22 games with the Marlies.
