Kulak scores winner as the Giants end the Rockets’ eight-game win streak
VANCOUVER – Brett Kulak scored 3:01 into overtime as the Vancouver Giants edged the visiting Kelowna Rockets 4-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Jackson Houck had two goals and an assist for the Giants (12-32-0), who halted their four-game winless streak, and Travis McEvoy scored once.
Rourke Chartier, Colton Sissons and Dylen McKinlay scored for the Rockets (31-10-3), who had their eight-game winning streak snapped.
Payton Lee made 24 saves for the win as Jackson Whistle turned aside 26 shots in a losing cause.
Vancouver went 2 for 3 on the power play while Kelowna failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.
