Ben Affleck wins best director Golden Globe for ‘Argo’

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Ben Affleck has won the Golden Globe for best director for his film “Argo.”

The other nominees Sunday night were Quentin Tarantino (“Django Unchained”); Ang Lee (“Life of Pi”); Steven Spielberg (“Lincoln”); and Kathryn Bigelow (“Zero Dark Thirty”).

Affleck wasn’t nominated for the best director Oscar.

The 70th annual Golden Globes are airing live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
