Pilot dead, young boy injured in crash of small plane northeast of Montreal
MONTREAL – One man died and and his nine-year-old son remained in hospital following the crash of a small plane northeast of Montreal.
The boy was listed in stable condition Tuesday, one day after the plane went down near the Mascouche airport.
It was not clear what caused the accident.
Transportation Safety Board of Canada investigators were sent to the site.
They are scheduled to conduct more interviews in the next few days as well as analyzing the 40-year-old pilot’s history and the plane’s maintenance records.
The TSB described the plane as a Mooney M20K.
