A woman was stabbed by her brother at a home in the 9000 block of Winchester Rd. over the weekend.
Emergency Health Services came to the aid of the 62-year-old woman as she left the house. She had received injuries to her arm.
Aware the 59-year-old brother had a weapon, police called him out of the house using a loud hailer, but he didn't cooperate immediately keeping one hand behind his back as he approached police. After more coaching by officers, the brother submitted to arrest without incident or harm.
The brother is being held in custody for court today. He may face charges of assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
