WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec says he isn’t worried about the pressure of a shortened NHL season.
Jets coach Claude Noel has said goaltending and managing injuries are the key to winning during this compressed season.
Pavelec says he’s been through the same kind of every-other-day scenario before because of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
The schedule was compacted for three months because of the two-week NHL shutdown in February.
And Pavelec says he isn’t worried about injuries, because be believes once you start down that road, an injury is bound to happen.
Injuries have hit the Jets at training camp with Antti Miettinen out for an indefinite period after he was hurt Monday.
