School bus loses wheel in Rutland

KELOWNA – A school bus lost a wheel early this morning, leaving one Rutland road completely blocked.

The bus, which was empty except for the driver, lost a rear wheel in the 1500-block of Hollywood Road at around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey says no one was injured and the incident appears to be mechanical.

Hollywood Road is completely blocked while RCMP await the arrival of Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement officials to investigate.
