You(th) can do it – enriching neighbourhoods $1,000 at a time

November 25 is the deadline for Kelowna youth, ages 13-19, to apply for the Youth Development and Engagement Grant.

Matching grants of up to $1,000 are available to support youth-driven, neighbourhood enhancing projects.

As part of the City’s Strong Neighbourhoods Program the Youth Development and Engagement Grant provides financial support, mentorship and guidance for youth to develop and implement projects that contribute to their neighbourhood’s vitality.

Successful projects to date include a family-friendly event showcasing recreational opportunities within a neighbourhood and the offering of a technology resources and tablet basics course to a neighbourhood seniors centre.
