Toronto Raptors forward DeMarre Carroll has arthroscopic knee surgery

TORONTO – Toronto Raptors forward DeMarre Carroll is out indefinitely after undergoing arthroscopic surgery Wednesday on his right knee.

The NBA club announced the procedure was performed by Dr. David Altchek at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Carroll missed Toronto’s 122-100 loss in Cleveland on Monday night with a swollen right knee. Carroll had played in the previous five contests after missing nine games with a right knee contusion.

Carroll has averaged 11.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 31.9 minutes in 23 games this season, his first with Toronto.
