Bizarre crime spree sparked by theft of stolen Jeep outside Kamloops, B.C.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – The theft of a Jeep from a home east of Kamloops, B.C., appears to have sparked a bizarre crime spree.

RCMP say that several hours after the vehicle was taken, a man noticed someone driving his brother’s pickup truck east of the city, with a Jeep right behind it.

Police say the man tried to box the vehicles in, but they both hit his vehicle and kept going.

When he returned to his home, the man noticed several items were missing, including guns.

Mounties say the stolen pickup struck a Smart Car, injuring the driver, and that some of the stolen guns were later found in the abandoned truck.

No suspects have been arrested, and the Jeep is still missing.
