KAMLOOPS – A B.C. mountain bike filmmaker has some unique footage of himself crashing in Kamloops.
Jordan Olthuis, based out of Abbotsford, caught the moment he crashed and broke his wrist at the Kamloops Bike Ranch on his helmet camera. In it he goes off one of the jumps and gets the handle bars caught in his clothing before hitting the ground and tumbling.
A friend following behind him catches footage of the crash as well.
A disappointed Olthuis narrates the video, explaining what happened and their trip to the hospital.
The broken wrist required surgery and screws he says in the video.
Olthuis is a regular mountain biking video blogger with nearly 44,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel. Some of his videos have garnered more than 500,000 views.
The first shots of the crash happen around the 45 second mark.
