Don Meyer film to be distributed on home video this year

ABERDEEN, S.D. – A movie about the late Northern State University men’s basketball coach Don Meyer is coming out on video this year.

The Aberdeen American News (http://bit.ly/29mCfAP ) reports that a news release from entertainment production and distribution company Herohelix says “My Many Sons” will be distributed in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The film chronicles Meyer’s career. He died in 2014 after being diagnosed with cancer.

Meyer was one of the winningest coaches in college basketball history. He led his teams into the playoffs 19 times and compiled a 923-324 record during his 38-year career, most of which he spent at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, and at Northern State in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Meyer is played by Judge Reinhold, who was in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and “Beverly Hills Cop.”
