Winquist, Cotton lead the way as Silvertips shut out Giants 4-0 in WHL
VANCOUVER – Joshua Winquist had three goals and an assist and Daniel Cotton made 31 saves Sunday as the Everett Silvertips shut out the Vancouver Giants 4-0 in the Western Hockey League.
Mirco Mueller had the other goal for Everett (20-26-2), while Manraj Hayer chipped in with three assists.
Payton Lee made 18 saves in taking the loss for Vancouver (12-36-0).
The Silvertips were 2-for-5 on the power play, while the Giants were scoreless on their six chances.
