iNPHOTOS: Anti-pipeline rally draws thousands to Vancouver

THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – Thousands of people rallied and marched through the streets of Vancouver in a demonstration against the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.

Randy Millis attended the demonstration on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 and said at 1 p.m. anywhere from 4,000 to 5,000 people were participating.

Participants played hand-drums, waved signs, and marched from Vancouver City Hall to Library Square.

Speakers at the rally included Jody Leon, a Secwepemc activist. Leon and a group from across the Thompson-Okanagan travelled to Vancouver today by bus to participate in the rally.
