The results of the City of Armstrong preliminary by-election results are in, and Gary Froats has emerged triumphant.
In a close election, Froats beat out Adrien Lemaire by only 21 votes, who earned 216. Gill Melin came in with a total of 82 votes, and Helen Jackson received 58.
The leading candidates were in a very tight race throughout early November's advanced and special voting opportunites, heading into the final day of voting with only 2 points separating them. The deciding votes were cast on November 19th at the Odd Fellows Hall.
