WINNIPEG – The coach of the Winnipeg Jets woke up a happy man after collecting three out of a possible four points on a two-game road swing.
Claude Noel says happiness comes with winning, and the Jets got their first victory of the season in Washington on Tuesday night.
But a point from a shootout loss in Boston also left Noel impressed, as the Jets struggled on the road last season.
Now the Jets have to prepare for the Pittsburgh Penguins Friday night and Noel says just like Boston, Pittsburgh is a very good team.
The Jets were solid at the MTS Centre last season, but this year they opened at home with a loss to Ottawa.
Noel has been juggling lines and giving defenceman Dustin Byfuglien a lot of ice time, and says the big blue-liner has been delivering.
