OTTAWA – Number of immigrant detainees held by Canada Border Services Agency in 2013-14: 10,088.
Number of facilities across Canada that held them: 138.
Number held in federal immigration facilities: 6,355.
Number held in other federal, provincial or municipal facilities: 3,733.
Percentage of refugee claimaints among the total detained population: 17.
Number of days, on average, the claimaints were held: 20.
Percentage of minors among the total detained population: 1.9 per cent.
Number of days, on average, the minors were held: 10.
