South Okanagan ski resort gets dump of snow
OLIVER – It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas for a South Okanagan ski resort.
Stephanie O’Brien of Baldy Mountain Resort reports heavy snow fell at the resort last night, Nov. 24, creating a base of 83 centimetres at the summit and 25 cm at the base.
“After one heck of a dump, the resort now has enough snow to open next week,” she says.
The First Chair Festival takes place at Baldy Mountain Dec. 1 to 4, with free snowshoe rentals, fat bike rentals, along with hot chocolate and cider.
The resort is located around 35 kilometres east of Oliver.
