Bell Media’s CraveTV expands service to all Internet-connected Canadians

TORONTO – Bell Media’s CraveTV streaming service is now available to all Internet-connected Canadians.

CraveTV’s catalogue includes older off-air HBO TV series like “The Sopranos” and “Sex and the City” and Showtime shows including “The Affair,” “Penny Dreadful” and the new drama “Billions.”

It costs $7.99 a month to subscribe, with a one-month free trial available to new users. TV customers with providers including Bell, Eastlink, Sasktel and Telus can bundle in CraveTV access for a lower rate.

CraveTV competes with Netflix and Shomi, a streaming service launched by Rogers and Shaw.

In Canada, Netflix offers three plans ranging from $7.99 to $11.99 a month. Shomi charges $8.99 a month.
