Rockets take Pats 3-2 in OT thriller

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Regina Pats 3-2 in overtime Saturday night at Prospera Place, beating the Pats, one of the top teams in the WHL East so far this season.

Kole Lind scored the game winner on a nice passing play with Tomas Soustal, scoring his 13th goal of the season to give Kelowna the win.

It was a fast-paced and entertaining game from the get-go as the game was tied 0-0 after the first and 1-1 after the 2nd period.

Tomas Soustal scored his 11th of the season while Devante Stephens added his sixth, putting Kelowna ahead 2-1.
The Pats would soon draw even and regulation time ended with a 2-2 score.

Michael Herringer was named first star after facing 32 shots in the win including a pair of stops in overtime.

The Rockets improved to 14-11-0-0 on the season.

Kelowna now hits the road for a pair of games this week, playing in Tri-City on Wednesday and in Spokane Friday.

The next Rockets home game is Saturday, December 3rd vs. the Brandon Wheat Kings for Teddy Bear Toss night.
