KAMLOOPS – A Kamloops man who died after diving into Adams River earlier this month has been identified.
B.C. Coroner's Service reported today that 49-year-old Robert Bruce Boyd died from head injuries sustained while diving into a river pool on Aug. 3.
He had been taking part in recreational activities with his family near the Squilax-Anglemont Road Bridge when he dove into the water and did not come back up.
Search and rescue personnel were called to the scene, pulled him from the water and attempted on-scene emergency procedures before he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into his death is ongoing by the coroner's service.
