Canada’s regional average temperature variations for 2015

OTTAWA – A list of some of Canada’s regional average temperature variations for 2015, as measured against the historic average:

Atlantic Canada: minus 0.1 degrees C (43rd warmest year in the 68 years Canada has kept records)

Eastern Arctic: plus 0.4 degrees C (36th warmest year)

Great Lakes region: plus 0.3 degrees C (28th warmest year)

Southern Prairies: plus 2.0 degrees C (third warmest year)

Pacific Coast: plus 2.0 degrees C (warmest ever)

B.C. southern interior: plus 1.9 degrees C (warmest ever)

Northern B.C. and Yukon: plus 2.9 degrees C (warmest ever)

Mackenzie Delta: plus 2.3 degrees C (fifth warmest year)
