RCMP need your help to find missing Lytton man

LYTTON – It’s been over a week since an 87-year-old Lytton man with Alzheimer's disease went missing from his home on Botanie Lake Road.

RCMP say his neighbours saw Gordon Davis riding his ATV on Saturday, Aug. 30. When they didn’t see him come home, they checked his house the next day. He wasn’t there and his neighbours say this is unusual behavior for Davis.

When he wasn’t home by Labour Day, Monday, Sept. 1, the neighbours called police.

RCMP found his personal belongings in his home when they went to investigate.

On Sept. 2, police found Davis’ ATV about 10 kilometres from his home.

“The Lytton RCMP have been assisted in the continual search for Davis, assisted by the Nicola Valley Search & Rescue, RCMP Air Services, Kamloops Police Dog Services and local area residents,” Corp. Dave Tyreman says in a media release.

So far, no sign of the missing man.

"It is believed Davis may be suffering from Alzheimer's disease," Tyreman says.

Davis is a white male, 5’ 4’ tall and about 110 lbs. He was possibly wearing a grey flannel sweater, dark coloured pants and white shoes. He often rides his ATV with a white hard hat.
