Snow control guidelines for Osoyoos
Do your part by following a few simple tips for Snow Control this winter:
- Ensure snow removal equipment has clear access along your street.
- When snow is forecasted, please refrain from parking your vehicle on the road until streets have been cleared.
- Be patient when roads are being cleared.
- Use caution when snow removal equipment is on the road.
No person shall deposit snow, ice or other material removed from sidewalks, boulevards, lanes, or private property onto Town property or highways.
On October 3, 2016, Town Council adopted the amended Traffic Bylaw No. 1256, 2009 to allow Operational Services to tow vehicles. Attempts will be made to contact the owner of any vehicle parked in such a way that impedes with snow removal prior to towing.
Please visit the Town of Osoyoos snow control page for more details.
