HAMILTON – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats had legendary wrestler Ric (The Nature Boy) Flair in their corner Sunday afternoon at the CFL Eastern semifinal.
The 69-year-old Flair, who wore a Hamilton jersey under a jacket, is a former tag-team partner of one-time Ticat Angelo (King Kong) Mosca.
After Flair addressed the crowd prior to the game — with several of his trademark woos — the WWE Hall of Famer disappeared into the middle of the Ticat huddle on the Hamilton logo at centre field of Tim Hortons Field.
After “O Canada,” Flair and the Ticats cheerleaders and mascot led the crowd in Hamilton’s traditional “Oskee Wee Wee” chant.
