3 men accused of sexually assaulting child

RICHMOND, Va. – Three men have been accused of sexually assaulting a child and producing child pornography.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/2cUxjnm ) reports that 25-year-old Benjamin Faulkner and 26-year-old Patrick Falte were arrested Monday at a home in Montpelier and charged with crossing a state line with the intent to engage in a sexual act with a person under age 12. Twenty-eight-year-old Thomas Hix has been charged with the sexual exploitation of a child.

Homeland Security agents began monitoring the men Friday. Authorities say the men chatted online and agreed to meet at various locations to sexually abuse the child.

Authorities did not release the suspects’ hometowns. Court papers indicate that Faulkner is from Canada, Hix from northern Virginia and Falte from another state. It is unclear whether they have attorneys.
