Ottawa – Cathy McLeod, Member of Parliament for Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo is pleased to inform all not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses with up to 50 employees looking to hire students for summer 2017 to apply now for funding under the Canada Summer Jobs program.
The Canada Summer Jobs program creates summer job opportunities and valuable work experience for full-time students aged 15 to 30 years old.
In Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo, the priorities focus on local special events, location and sector priorities, but all eligible applicants are encouraged to apply. Employers are also invited to include applications that complement this year’s identified national priorities which include:
The application period runs from December 7 to January 20, 2017. Applicants approved for funding will be able to hire students as early as April 2017.
