Toronto FC practices run like clockwork as new regime tries to get MLS team ticking

ORLANDO, Fla. – New coach Ryan Nelsen led Toronto FC through a carefully orchestrated training session Wednesday under the Florida sun.

Under Nelsen and his assistants, nothing is left to chance. Even the water breaks are timed.

The former New Zealand international defender has every training session prepped leading up to the March 2 season opener in Vancouver.

Toronto has Trinidad and Tobago international defender-midfielder Joevin Jones in on trial at the Florida camp.

There are also three members of the Toronto FC Academy training with the senior squad.
