Rock has made no decisions on Oscar monologue, says his rep

NEW YORK, N.Y. – A representative for Chris Rock says the Oscar host has made no decisions about his opening monologue.

Rock’s publicist Leslie Sloane, in a statement Monday, refuted earlier comments by Academy Awards co-producer Reginald Hudlin that Rock had scraped earlier plans and was rewriting the show following the backlash to the all-white acting nominees.

Sloane said Rock “has made no decisions about the content of the show.” She added that “all will be revealed on February 28th.”

Rock is yet to comment about the crisis that has surrounded the Academy Awards except for an earlier post on Twitter that referred to the Oscars as “the white BET Awards.”
