TORONTO – The Ontario government has nominated Maureen Jensen to be the chairwoman and CEO of the Ontario Securities Commission.
Jensen has been the OSC’s executive director and chief administrative officer since 2011.
Prior to joining the regulator, Jensen had been senior vice-president, surveillance and compliance, with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.
She is also a former president and CEO of Market Regulation Services Inc. and a director at the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Group after having previously held key executive and technical management positions at several mining companies.
The nomination is subject to review by the provincial legislature’s standing committee on government agencies.
