Diamond promoted to NBC Olympics executive VP of programming

STAMFORD, Conn. – Peter Diamond has been promoted to NBC Olympics executive vice-president of programming.

Diamond will work his 17th Olympics this summer in Rio de Janeiro, which the company says is more than any executive in U.S. television history.

Diamond will continue to be responsible for programming NBC Sports’ coverage of the Olympics across numerous broadcast, cable and digital platforms. He works on a regular basis with international Olympic sport federations and the U.S. national governing bodies of Olympic sports.
