Kelowna RCMP looking for suspect after late night robbery

KELOWNA – Police are looking for help identifying a suspect who robbed a Mac’s convince store last night.

Around midnight last night, Dec. 11, the Mac’s Convenience Store at the intersection of Richter Street and Glenwood Avenue was robbed by a man with a weapon, Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a media release.

O’Donaghey says the employee, who was working alone, complied and the man left with cash. The victim was not injured and the robbery was reported at 12:15 a.m.

The suspect is described as an approximately 18-year-old Caucasian male standing about 5'10" tall with a slender build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black and maroon Adidas hoodie, blue jeans, black and white ball cap and carrying a black bag.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
