Political group hosts members-only meetup
PENTICTON – Politics have become popular in Penticton again — largely because of the Facebook group TimeForChangePenticton — and members are holding a meet-up Monday night to discuss hot topics around town.
The meet-up is the next step in the group’s campaign to make change happen in Penticton. The creation of the group came first, then a rally was held outside city hall before a council meeting, and now comes a chance to discuss the next steps the group will take.
More than 40 people have already RSVP’d to the meet-up happening at 6 p.m. at Dogtown Coffee, but that’s only 40 people out of the 3,100 members of the Facebook group.
The meeting is only open to members of the group, who can, however, bring a friend. Anyone who wants to join this talk on politics with others in the community better jump on Facebook sometime in the next several hours.
