UPDATE: 10:05 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016

KELOWNA – Thousands of Kelowna water customers in the Clifton Road area have returned to using water as usual after repairs were made to a water pump.

Late yesterday, Dec. 13, the city warned residents in the Clifton Road, High Pointe, Magic Estates and Wilden neighbourhoods to minimize their evening activities that use water, like dishwashing, bathing and laundry after the Skyline station pumps broke down.

The city says the pumps have been repaired and water is once again flowing into the reservoirs in the area. The water restrictions have been lifted.

KELOWNA – Thousands of Clifton Road residents are being asked to use as little water as possible until a water leak at a Kelowna pump station is fixed.

Residents north of High Road are asked to minimize their evening activities that use water, like dishwashing, bathing and laundry until the City and Fortis are able to repair a failed pump used to move water to a reservoir, according to a City of Kelowna media release.

There is currently enough water to last the evening and work crews are on site.

The area affected includes about 2,000 homes in the Clifton Road area, High Pointe, Magic Estates and Wilden.
